Scaling Supply Rates of ISS Systems for Stability of Feedback Interconnected Nonlinear Systems
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper focuses on global stability analysis problems for interconnected nonlinear systems. The main purpose is to introduce a useful parametrization into supply rates of dissipative nonlinear systems for establishing global stability via the Inputto-State Stable(ISS) small-gain condition. Supply rates which are parametrized by state-dependent scaling provide us with convenient flexibility to determine a proper function that matches a system and leads us to desired stability. Stability criteria proposed in this paper are more advantageous to uncertain systems analysis and design than the primary versions of state-dependent scaling criteria presented in previous papers.

State-Dependent Scaling Characterization for Interconnected Nonlinear Systems–Part II: Small Gain Theorems for iISS and ISS Properties¶§
This paper is devoted to the problem of stability analysis for interconnected integral input-to-state stable(iISS) systems and input-to-state stable(ISS) systems. In the first part of this two-part paper, the state-dependent scaling problem has been proposed as a general mathematical formulation whose solutions explicitly provide Lyapunov functions proving stability properties of feedback and c...
متن کاملParametrization of Supply Rates for Establishing Iss and Prescribed Dissipative Properties of Nonlinear Interconnected Systems
In this paper, a novel technique of parametrization of supply rates is developed for establishing Input-to-State Stability(ISS) and dissipative properties of nonlinear interconnected systems. In the application of the ISS small-gain theorem, selecting supply rates to establish stability properties is not a straightforward task. This paper proposes useful tools for selecting supply rates by allo...
متن کاملA Constructive Proof of ISS Small-Gain Theorem using Generalized Scaling
This paper presents a Lyapunov-type proof of the Input-toState Stable(ISS) small-gain theorem. The proof given in this paper demonstrates how to construct a Lyapunov function explicitly, which contrasts with existing proofs based on input-output analysis. The Lyapunov functions are constructed by selecting state-dependent scaling functions properly. The construction of Lyapunov functions motiva...
متن کاملState-Dependent Scaling Characterization of Stability and Performance for Nonlinear Interconnected Systems
This paper proposes new criteria for stability and performance of nonlinear interconnected systems by smoothly generalizing a recently-developed method of the state-dependent scaling. The criteria are directly related to Lyapunov functions so that they show how to construct Lyapunov functions which establish desired stability and performance explicitly. A set of popular Lyapunov stability crite...
متن کاملQuasi-ISS/ISDS observers for interconnected systems and applications
This paper considers interconnected nonlinear dynamical systems and studies observers for such systems. For single systems the notion of quasi-input-to-state dynamical stability (quasi-ISDS) for reduced-order observers is introduced and observers are investigated using error Lyapunov functions. It combines the main advantage of ISDS over input-to-state stability (ISS), namely the memory fading ...
